Canadian Tai Chi Qigong master, Mr. Ken Chui and Ms. Cala Lee, are experienced Tai Chi coaches in the Hong Kong Guoshu Association, passionate about teaching and promoting Tai Chi. They have been speaking for seminars in various private and public organizations including HSBC.
Seminar Content:
This event aimed to introduce Tai Chi Qigong to wheelchair users and their carers. The content was especially designed for wheelchair users by Mr. Chui and Ms. Lee. A series of exercise and massage techniques were demonstrated in the class, such that participants could continue their Tai Chi exercise at home.

We were invited by the Ethnic Minority Services Team of the HKSKH Lady MacLehose Center to provide a series of exercise courses for ethnic minority women to help them make good use of their time after housework and learn full-body stretching exercises. Featuring a series of classes on a wide range of topics (including stretching for back pain, shoulder pain, and knee pain), this training program was designed to promote the concept of physical fitness and how to do it correctly for maximum benefit.

Speaker: Ms. Cheng Suen & Prof. Wilson Tam
Dr. Cheng is a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner. She once held clinical positions in western medicine emergency department and neurosurgery. Dr. Cheng is proficient in traditional Chinese medicine techniques such as acupuncture, fire acupuncture, and suture embedding.
Professor Tam is the vice president and professor of the Chinese Academy of Acupuncture and Manual Therapy, a traditional Chinese medicine health manager (senior), and a chiropractor (senior); He is also the author, founder, physician and mentor of "Manual Acupuncture Therapy".
Seminar Content:
This health talk on Chinese medicine and health care was divided into two parts: "Understanding your physique to maintain health" and "Using hands instead of acupuncture to maintain health". Dr. Cheng shared how to understand our health through different internal and external factors. In addition, Professor Tam shared how to perform needle-free acupuncture treatment and care with your own hands.

Due to lack of activities during the COVID-19 pandemic, many elderly and even young people experienced balance problems and had potential risk of falling. In addition, amid the global pandemic, many were COVID survivors so it’s beneficial for people to be more aware of their own lung function. Understanding of correct breathing and coughing out phlegm techniques are particularly important when respiratory infection is so common.
This workshop consisted of a series of small class lectures on the following topics, held every Monday in July:
- Balance and prevent falling
- Home balance to prevent falls
- Protecting your lungs
- Physical and mental health
